Design Brief
To enable librarians to analyse their Collection of academic journals on the librarian portal and improve the overall experience of the platform.
Methodology
I conducted 70+ interviews for Springer Nature for roughly ten mini projects. I employed various techniques, such as card sorting, usability testing, surveys, competitor analysis, and desk research. We achieved an 85% customer satisfaction rating on the collection performance solution, which was fantastic.
Constraints
The client, Springer Nature, was conscious of accessibility, aiming for AAA standards, which prevents its challenges. With this in mind, they limited the use of Java Script, meaning that most of the portal should work without JS. In addition, we had strict guidelines around colours, borders and UI components. As the portal transitioned from a B2B to a B2C platform, I created Icons and illustrations to bring pages to life. I found new ways to give their 11000 customers value for money.
