To understand the world of streaming, from signing to choosing a movie. My role was to discover opportunities for innovation within a stale market.
I employed research techniques including usability testing, card sorting, journey mapping, and data analysis. Additionally, I assessed popular streaming apps such as Netflix.com, Disney+, Amazon Prime, and Apple TV. Through this evaluation, I identified a user preference to avoid revisiting watched content. Consequently, I introduced a new feature called 'the bin,' where viewed content is relocated after viewing.
At UX Cambridge, we opted to prioritize design for IOS mobile and iPad over TV. The rationale behind this decision is that if the UX functions effectively on a smaller viewport, the process of designing for a larger screen will be more seamless in the long run.
